Badami Qorma
Ingredients

• 1kg chicken
• 1 tsp red chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 2 tsp salt
• 6 onions, chopped
• 1/2 cup oil
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 15-20 almonds
• 10 cashew nuts
• 6 green chillies
• 1/2 -inch piece of ginger
• 10 cloves of garlic
• 2 black cardamoms
• 6 cloves
• 1/2 -inch piece of cinnamon
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup coconut milk
• 1 cup yoghurt

Method
Blend cumin seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, cloves, black cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and garlic into a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan; add onions and fry till they are brown in colour. Add grinded masala paste along with three to four tablespoons of water. Fry for a few minutes then add chicken with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry for two more minutes then add yoghurt and milk. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes then add coconut milk. Cook for another 10 minutes before dishing it out. Enjoy the qorma with bread.
