The world collectively gasped in shock when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced the end of their union. With six children, multiple houses across the world, joint production ventures, investments running into millions, regular globetrotting with their brood and a decade of togetherness, it was assumed that this was one of tinseltown's strongest relationships. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness
Considered one of Hollywood's strongest marriages – this two decade old union – has largely been untarnished by any negative rumours despite the 13 year age gap between them (she being the older one). The couple are parents to two adopted children – Oscar and Ava – and Jackson has often spoken fondly about his better half, who was a far bigger star than him when they got hitched.

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham
He – counted amongst the most sexy men in the world, she – formerly a popular girl band member and now a world famous designer. Together brand Beckham is a force to reckon with. With four children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper – the Beckhams have been hit by several reports over the years, which claimed that their marriage was on the rocks. David's alleged affair with his former PA, Rebecca Loos had threatened to end the marriage in 2004. Earlier this year, Victoria spoke about her husband, saying, "Everything we do, we do everything together. We really support each other… he's the best partner anybody can have."

All set to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next year, Parker and Broderick are parents to a son and two daughters, who they raise in New York. When asked to share advice on being a good husband, Broderick said, "Listen to her. You know, that helps. Give her a little present every now and then. Just be kind. Communicating and not going to bed angry are vital to a healthy relationship." Two years ago, the couple hit a rough patch when rumours of a divorce began gaining steam but the couple decided to give their marriage another shot.

Known to be one of Hollywood's finest actresses, Streep's marriage to Gummer, a sculptor, is considered rock solid. The couple first met each other after her then partner John Cazale died of bone cancer and Gummer offered Streep his apartment while he travelled. The couple has four kids together – one son and three daughters. Streep and Gummer live far away from the dazzle of Hollywood on a sprawling estate in Connecticut and are known to share a down-to-earth attitude towards their home and family.

With two sons and 28 years of marriage behind them, Hanks and Wilson are one of Hollywood's most successful love stories.
