Keeping Fit
Ameesha Patel has been spending a lot of time in the capital. She is shooting for a film in New Delhi. And the girl is looking fab because she has lost a lot of weight. We hear she works out for two hours everyday. But the actress is eating well, and isn't starving herself we are told. However, Ameesha was hospitalised recently, all thanks to food poisoning. So, right now she is back home enjoying some home-cooked khaana that comes straight from the kitchen of her new apartment.

Generous Gift
While most actors choose to buy their dream bungalows and fancy cars, Bollywood's latest blue-eyed boy Neil Nitin Mukesh prefers to do otherwise. He did none of the above. Instead, he quietly went ahead and bought two bikes with his hard-earned money. One for himself and another one for his dad's manager whom he affectionately calls Rambo. “It was my way of showing my love and affection for Rambo. It's not an expensive gift, but Rambo likes to ride bikes, so I decided to gift him one of his favourite bikes, but on one condition… he will ride it safely and will always wear his helmet," grins Neil. How thoughtful!
Positive Response
Sameera Reddy has just had an image makeover. Sexy Sam is doing crazy things these days. And then there’s the crazy one she did in One Two Three. But these 'dumb acts' seem to be a smart move on Sameera's part. Apparently, she is thrilled at the response she has been garnering from her close friends. Now, close friends are always kind. But her performances left even the critics 'dumbstruck'!

Dedicated star
Mithun Chakraborty was running a high temperature while shooting for the film, Don Muthuswami. Director Aseem Samanta was worried that the shooting would have to be called off, but to his surprise Mithun came to the sets, and shot for 14 hours, so that the director and producer could follow their schedule. Can the tantrum throwing stars please read this, and learn!

Saif Ali Khan is turning out to be the blue-eyed-boy of the endorsement world. According to sources in the advertising industry, Saif has the perfect persona to endorse brands. In fact, they rave that he has an international appeal and his attitude complements his overall personality. Not surprising then that Saif is inundated with offers to endorse brands. In fact, we hear that the Chhote Nawab has already bagged 12 brands and the only guy who is ahead of him is SRK with 14 brands in his kitty and is known as the endorsement king. Increasingly Saif and Kareena are inundated with offers to endorse brands together. And justifiably so, Saif is racing ahead of his contemporaries in the ad fraternity too!

Change of Image
We all know that Bollywood's Smooch Hero No. 1, Emraan Hashmi has been trying to change his image ever since he got married. But that's surely a tough task, as he recently realised. Don't believe us, hear this one now. Sometime ago, he had his appointment with his dentist and when he went there, guess what he found out? His file with the name 'Kisser' written in bold letters. “He found out that the nurse who makes the file wrote that so that she remembers his name easily," laughs his friend. This one is a die-hard Emraan fan for sure. Do we see his wife frowning?

Tough workout
Lately Shahid Kapoor has been taking his workouts very seriously. Last weekend while working out he hurt his neck. The doctors asked him to take rest for 10 days, but Shahid got back to the gym in three days. We are sure Shahid has been following in the footsteps of his favourite actor Aamir Khan who is a perfectionist both off and on screen. After the success of Jab We Met Shahid has been looking forward to Kismat Konnection with his new physique and hairstyle. Celebrity hairstylist Dilshad who has given him the new look says, "Earlier people used to come to me and ask me for a haircut like Shah Rukh's, but nowadays people are coming to me and asking for a haircut like Shahid's and that's a huge compliment."

Baby bride
Riya Sen's all excited these days, and that's because she's finally getting to work with filmmaker Rituparna Ghosh who she's always wanted to work with. The film is close to her heart, being a Bengali film called Jotodin Aalo Achey. “I play a baby bride opposite Jishu. It's shot in the interiors of Kolkata. Ritu knows me and my family since I was in school so he has chosen this character for me and rightly so. Ritu is a director whom I have dreamt of working with. I'm really excited about it. He's worked with my mother, sister and now me." Well, we're waiting to see you shine Riya!

MAHARASHTRIAN CUISINE
Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu have been bonding big time on the sets of Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. Kunal is very fond of typical Maharashtrian khaana and keeps requesting the people around him or where they are shooting for the authentic cuisine. Not to be left behind, Soha is forever trying to learn a thing or two about cooking. Soha loves the way they fry fish, especially surmais. Soha says, "Actually the people are so homely and sweet, they really made us feel at home. Without telling us they would make something and send it across to wherever we were shooting."

Money game
Bollywood and those who are a part of it are becoming very money-minded or so it seems. Everyone is going berserk shouting from rooftops what they are worth. Never mind if they aren't saying it themselves, their publicists are bombarding one and all with news of the astronomical sums that they've been offered or generously refused! First it was Kareena Kapoor who was supposed to be the highest paid actress, till Aishwarya Rai's Robot made her the leading bread winner. Katrina Kaif got into the crore-fiasco and was said to have bagged some cool corporate deals; Saif Ali Khan also made news by refusing many crores! Shilpa Shetty probably felt left out and made some tall claims about signing an international film. The number game has turned into a money game.

Surprise Visit
Manoj Bajpai received an unexpected and surprise visit by his wife Neha on the sets of his film Jugaad in Delhi. Manoj is playing an ad agency owner in the film which is based on MCD ceiling in Delhi and is inspired by the real life story of the producer himself. "Manoj was so busy with the shooting that he had no time to call Neha up regularly. And besides, he had to also extend his stay in the capital by a couple of weeks to complete the work. I think that was the reason why Neha just landed on the sets to meet him," said a source. Manoj was happy, but was also baffled and wondered what made her come all the way to Delhi! "People were wondering whether she had come to do jassosi on her husband who has had a rather long association with Delhi," said the source.

HISTORICAL FLICKS
The latest buzz doing rounds in tinselville is that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the historical figure Tatya Tope in two separate projects — one being Sushmita Sen's directorial debut Rani Laxmibai and the other touted to be a historical saga based on the freedom fighter's life, a joint venture between Firoz Nadiadwala and the I&B ministry. However, the action king reveals that he has signed neither of the two. Brushing away all rumours of him playing any historical character, he says, "It would be an honour to bring a stalwart to life on celluloid. However, I have a list of films which I have to complete, before I take on any new project. Films on history or great characters need research and time. And if I don’t have either I wouldn’t even think about it. So, I am definitely not a part of any such films at the moment." Seems like the action hero who's Bolly bag is already bulging full of action projects is in no rush to jump on the historical bandwagon yet!

Tough Competition
It’s being said that there's going to be a tough fight between Mukesh Bhatt's Raaz 2 and Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. An insider says that the Bhatts want to release Raaz 2 before Fashion. And the reason is none other than the pretty Kangana Ranaut who strangely plays a supermodel in both the films. “The reason the Bhatts want their film to be released first is because in Fashion she dies at the end and in Raaz 2 she is playing a ghost. So if Raaz 2 is released first, it will look a little strange to see her dying again in Fashion,” says a source. Fashion which was supposed to have a May release has been postponed, as it's getting difficult to get Priyanka Chopra's dates. Looks like the Bhatts' dream might just come true

Dance Lessons
Sophie Choudry has a new passion! No, the actress is not involved in a relationship, she's happy with her single status. She is just pursuing a passion that caught her fancy years ago in London. Sophie is learning Salsa. And her master is none other than Kaytee, the Salsa guru! "I was so fascinated by Salsa that I watched every film that had that dance form in it. I watched the film Salsa many times," says Sophie. Ironically, Sophie learnt Bharatnatyam in London and is learning Salsa in Mumbai. "It should be other way round, but I was destined to learn Salsa here," she says. Sophie did a lot of research before learning the dance form. She adds, "Salsa has taken various forms in various countries. Puerto Rico is the place from where the dance originated. And I am learning the art that was practiced originally. If you do a Salsa socially, the dance form comes across to be fun and flirtatious. It is a great way to work out too." Sophie has reached the intermediate level in two months. Good going, girl!l
