Fragrances
Buy fragrances according to your mood and personality. To feel sensual and powerful, try a spicy, floral or oriental perfume. In summer, you could choose citrus-based perfumes. The name and shape of the bottle also reveal what kind of fragrance it is. Citrus denotes freshness. Always spray the perfume on areas that move (arms, neck). For the actual scent to evolve, give it approximately 20 minutes; so the base note can settle down.
Hollyday Hair
Much as you want to keep your hair looking its best during summer, it’s not always easy. Here are some tips for holiday hair care:
* Start looking after your hair as soon as you reach your workplace. Air conditioning saps the moisture from your hair, so use a serum to protect it and regularly spritz with mineral water to rehydrate.
* You can also apply sun protection products to your scalp, but try to avoid coating all your hair in the process.
* Rinsing hair with beer adds depth and gloss and also revives the colour. Rinse well with water afterwards.
* Use a wide-toothed comb to deal with any tangles.
* Use a gentle shampoo. Regularly apply a UV-protection spray and use an intensive hair mask for a moisture boost.
* Finally, use coloured ribbons to tie your hair, they make a stunning accessory.
Melt Proof Your Make-Up
How to get a flawless finish that stays put through the hot days? The trick is to apply foundation only over key areas. There are two simple steps to follow. First, dab a sheer skin tone matching foundation which is easy to blend. Then use your fingers to blend the make-up outward. Most of the coverage will remain in the centre of your face, where the redness usually occurs and then fades toward the hairline where you perspire the most. This simple routine should ensure that you don’t sweat your make-up away this summer.
Sunscreen Protection
Is there really a difference between SPF 15 and SPF 30?
There is no real difference between the two. The higher number offers 3-4 per cent more protection. That may not sound like a lot, but it is crucial for anyone with sensitive skin or anyone who stays outdoors a lot. Scan the labels for at least one of these: micronised zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone or Parsol 1789. Also, SPF above 30 does not offer any significantly extra benefits.
Value tip
Protect your lips against the sun. Use a lipstick or a lip gloss with an SPF. This hydrates the lips and prevents a tan!
