Glued to the Screen
Sammi – A sadly true plot
You can expect nothing less than excellence when the cast and team of a drama serial has such experienced and talented names. Sammi has everyone glued to the screen from its first episode, now with Sania Saeed’s entry and even more twists in the plot, the serial that raises serious issues, like vani, the ignorance of maternal and child healthcare, and female inheritance laws, has become even more engrossing.

His sharp mental abilities clearly reflected in his work that brought out the best from simple things. The exhibition brought forward captures from everyday life and nature; architecture, cars, traffic, flowers, ordinary people, including a maid and a vegetable vendor. The story-telling photographs were enjoyed by many visitors that included media personalities like Anoushay Ashraf and other photography enthusiasts who applauded Farrukh’s attention to details.
Probably the most interesting Oscars yet
The recently concluded 89th Academy Awards took the social media by storm like every year. This time, however, the buzz was for different reasons. The most interesting being the best-picture mix up. Warren Beatty, the presenter, announced La La Land to be the winner instead of Moonlight, as he was wrongly handed the card that stated the winner for best actress, which went to Emma Stone for La La Land. This mix up was immediately cleared on stage and the awards were handed over to the right winners. The online world, needless to say, exploded with hilarious memes and theories to explain it all.
