It was predicted that the arrival of Web 2.0 would herald an era of citizen journalism. While this hasn’t yet happened on the scale that some commentators imagined, sites such as Yoosk definitely play their part in democratising the media. Essentially Yoosk is a new community of reporters, which is staffed by ‘ordinary’ people. Simply log on and put your question directly to Boris Johnson, Amy Winehouse or whoever else you may have beef with. If the question reaches 100 votes Yoosk will do their best to get an answer. For the casual browser there are interesting topics to peruse, including cycling etiquette, money in football and Muslims in the UK.
