Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom’s very public split has everyone talking!
Amir Khan has reportedly split from his wife Faryal Makhdoom. The boxer took to Twitter, stating that he and Faryal are calling it quits. In a series of tweets, he further accused her of cheating on him with another boxer and being a gold digger. Amir even mentioned the name of the boxer, Anthony Joshua.
However, Faryal was quick to respond to his tweets, saying that she gave the marriage her all, while he didn't. She also apologised to all those affected by the news.
While this twitter exchange between the two sent media abuzz, Joshua also made an appearance online and claimed that he has never even met Faryal. He also wished that the couple figure out their problems and move on. Faryal Makhdoom has since deleted her Twitter exchange with Amir Khan, claiming on Snapchat that her account has been hacked whereas Amir denied it.
Amir and Faryal tied the knot in 2013 and have a daughter together. Last year the boxer's family found itself deep in controversy after Faryal posted a Snapchat of domestic abuse at the hands of her in-laws, which snowballed and eventually the whole family got involved.
Is this all a hoax?
If latest reports are anything to go by Faryal ‘tried to make up with boxer on late-night call for sake of their daughter’ after their explosive Twitter feud, but Amir stands by the split. In the early hours of the next morning, the model wife tweeted an image of the Arabic word for 'patience' (sabr) before quickly deleting it. A source close to the family confirmed that Makhdoom, 26, claimed her Twitter account had been hacked and called her husband in Dubai to say it was in the pair’s best interests to stay together for the sake of their daughter Lamaisah, two.
The couple had also become embroiled in a row on Snapchat after Khan posted a video saying “it’s all true” and that the pair were “moving on and walking away” from their “unhealthy” relationship. Posting on Snapchat after the Twitter fight, Amir said, “Everything you saw on social media it is real.
“Me and Faryal have decided to move on and walk away. Nothing has been hacked.
“We have to move forward it’s not healthy for any of us.
“I wish her all the best in the future.
“Don’t want you guys to worry…What’s done is done, it’s all true.”
