Najam Sheraz is back after a hiatus with
Khawabon Key Rishtey;
Najam SherazNajam is one artist who is always up to something stimulating and exciting. Be it a patriotic effort or a tribute for the Almighty, Najam has proved his mettle each time. His latest self-titled album has some terrific numbers namely, Khawabon Key Rishtey, Dil Tumhara Bhi Hai, Chorin Na, Chere Man Kai Taar, etc. The lead track, Khawabon Key Rishtey, is a personal favourite. The track kicks off with blazing guitar chords and soon Najam hits the bass with his high pitched energetic vocals. Probably, his best performance to date, Najam simply captivates the listener with his commendable voice equally supported by immaculate production work by Chris Eaton. I especially love the guitar play throughout the course of the song that has meaningful lyrics such as "Raastey dekhe, manzil na payi, saathi mile tau, per wo kalli me aayi, khwabon key rishtey hain".
The video of the track is unique in concept that carps at present
day evils such as child abuse, teenage addictions, etc. Although, the video has come under severe criticism from various music pundits, I believe it's high time one must gaze at harsh realities before it's too late. Hats off to Najam for making such a bold video!
Pussycat Dolls – When I Grow Up
Pussycat DollsIt had to be a sensational return in order to regain lost glory and
Pussycat Dolls have done just that. An awe-inspiring comeback in the form of a saucy treat When I Grow Up is just what the doctor ordered.
It's stunning, sultry and of course very spicy. Nichol Scherzinger, the star of the group, is in top form along with her mates. Although not as catchy as their ground breaking number Don't Cha, the track promises to be a summer chart buster.Interestingly, the track has a sample of "He's Always
There," a 60's rock track from the legendary Yardbirds. Welcome back, Girls!

Rihanna – Take A Bow
RihannaLike honey to the bee, Rihanna is to the pop music genre. The Barbados-born songstress has literally grabbed the music world by her incredible dance and pop tunes. Her 9th consecutive hit comes in the form of Take A Bow having the faultless team of producer Stargate and lyricist Ne-Yo by her side. It is a final goodbye to an ex lover and has the similar quality as that of Beyonce's smash hit Irreplaceable.
The later was also bestowed with the magical touch of Ne-Yo and Stargate. It's melodic, catchy and sure to grow more on multiple listening. Sure winner this one!
Baakhuda Tumhi Ho – Kismat Konnection
Kismat Konnection

It's another laudatory Bollywood project for Atif Aslam whose hit run continues with Bakhuda Tumhi Ho following the smash Race single, Pehli Nazar. I was actually looking forward to Atif pairing up with an Indian female vocalist and look what we've found, it's the ever alluring, Alka Yagnik. Written by Sayeen Qaudri and composed by Pritam, the track is romantic, placid and brings out the best in Atif's and Alka's vocal range.
