The actress who always looks flawless is a firm believer of aqua therapy, so she stays hydrated with generous water intake. Regular steam bath and body massages contribute to her porcelain skin. Cleansing, toning and moisturising (CTM) are a must for her. Even after long, tiring shooting schedules, she never retires to bed without CTM.
“I don't follow any routine as such. I just make sure I use a good night cream and always take off my make-up.” She cleanses with a hydrating cream and like to keep her skin make-up free when not working, having only a good moisturiser with SPF on. Deepika doesn’t like gaudy lips, either. “For lips, I like nudes and reds.” Her bathing ritual consists of a loofah over a soap bar, as she believes it enhances blood circulation as well as eliminates dead cells from the body instantly. Instead of regular facials, she prefers more of a thorough cleanup at frequent intervals.
Coconut oil has been Deepika’s constant companion since childhood, and judging by her lustrous locks, we can all make the oil our new best friend now. We are all too familiar with the post-event damage our hair has to endure. Hence, she highly depends on a heat-resistant spray to reduce the adverse effects of styling tools. Every now and then, she also goes for a head massage.
Considering that eyebrows are a defining feature of her doll-like face, Deepika takes extra care of them. For her, 'the thicker they are, the younger one looks'. Thus, her threading sessions are pretty restricted. Owner of striking almond shaped eyes, she loves to enhance their appeal with mascara.
The daughter of a badminton player, Deepika has always been into sports and no matter how busy her life gets, doesn’t like to compromise on her fitness.
Granted that she has been blessed, but the actress has worked very hard to tone herself. Her daily workout schedules have a lot of stretching exercises and Pilates. “Regular exercise, yoga, healthy eating and positive thinking; are what make me look good.” She further adds outdoor activities to her routine, such as trekking and cycling. Being a certified scuba diver, she also indulges in scuba diving whenever she gets time.
Deepika is proof that one shouldn’t judge a girl’s eating habit by her slim stature. She is a food lover through and through, but maintains a balanced diet that is loaded with vegetables and fruits. She likes to munch on a light meal every couple of hours. She begins her day with fruits or fruit juices. Her sweet tooth indulgence consists of dark chocolate. Deepika makes sure that she eats in every two hours. Her overall diet comprises of the right amount of carbohydrates and an increased amount of protein. It is also dominated by fibrous food.
