The Right Note
A group of young men formed the band Bayaan to express their musical talents only a couple years ago, and it’s completely heartwarming to see them come so far with their work. A few singles and videos later, the band has also lent tracks to the recently released Pakistani movie Yalghaar. Check out their edgy numbers on their official page, especially their first ever track Naheen Milta which has also been used in the film.
Ali Z has some amazing stunts waiting for his audience
Ali Zafar has been seen filming a diversity of action packed, often death defying stunts for his much-awaited Pakistani debut film, Teefa In Trouble, co-starring Maya Ali. The interesting things is that the actor has refused to allow a stunt double and has been training hard to bring the action- charged film to life. The film’s director, Ahsan Rahim confessed, “It is a truly nerve racking situation to know that your irreplaceable lead is about to risk his safety for a scene but that’s Ali’s dedication to his role and commitment to delivering a true action packed scene, as that is ultimately what the movie demands.” Rahim further added, “I don’t think I know any other actor here willing to go to those lengths, as most of the work is done by doubles.” In a specific sequence of images released, Zafar can be seen crashing through an open window landing right on to a table, forcing it to break under the impact of his dive. The actor has had to change his routine, diet and workout to be able to do multiple stunts throughout the movie.
‘It's the people who are responsible for Qandeel Baloch's death’
Saba Qamar is known for her bold persona and daring personality. Therefore, no other actor could be more fitting to play the slain social media star Qandeel Baloch, whose biopic is in the works. In a recent interview, Saba said, “I can do regular roles at any point in my career, but it’s good to do something my fans will remember me for.”
The Lahore Se Aagay star supports Baloch, criticism against whom, she says, was misguided. “The perception was that Qandeel Baloch made inappropriate videos, but no one knows why she did it. She did it to earn money and support her family. She tried to do regular jobs, but wherever she went, she was exploited,” asserted the actress. Although, Baloch was criticised immensely for her bold videos, she still had a huge fan following. Saba asserts that the people of Pakistan, who criticised her for her widespread reach, were the ones who gave her that platform.
“If anyone, it’s the people who need to be blamed for making Qandeel a social media sensation. If no one had followed her, she would not have made what she did. It’s they who are responsible for her death,” Saba added.
Noori lead makes
some changes to embrace 40!
Ali Noor is about to reach a milestone and he has launched a video blog to chart the new journey he wishes to take in life. He said in his first vlog, "This year, I am turning 40 and I have decided to change a few things. I want to find a purpose in my life, I want to find a bigger reason to live, I want my life to be with you people, so that we can start a journey together. To do things together, to explore things together, to find pleasures together, to find happiness together. This is my journey to find my real self."
To kick things off, the Noori front man shed his long locks and shaved off his beard, both of which have been part of the grungy look he had going for him for a while. He also took viewers along on his trips to ace stylist Saima Rashid Bargfrede for his haircut and Bobby Salon for his beard. His new look has garnered him hilarious, and sometimes disapproving, reactions from his wife Mandana, kids, family, friends and fans.
