Instagram now blocks offensive comments using AI

Instagram now blocks offensive comments using AI
Instagram has recently introduced an enhanced comment filter that is meant to wipe out nasty remarks using artificial intelligence.
The app had earlier introduced a comment filter which would only remove comments that contained words and phrases specifically identified as offensive by Instagram.
It, now, uses machine learning to identify comments that seem offensive, giving the system some ability to take into account the reply’s context, potentially catching more bad comments and cutting down on false positives at the same time.
The new comment filter is turned on by default, whereas the earlier filter had to be enabled. You can still turn it off from inside the app’s settings, and Instagram still includes the ability to block custom words and phrases. The filter only works in English at launch, but the app creators are working to expand it to other languages over time.

A smart wallet with a built-in camera
A smart wallet with a built-in camera
Volterman is a new smart wallet project that includes all the qualities of a years-old smartphone, other than a screen. It can charge your phone, pair with Bluetooth to act as an alarm if you forget your phone and vice versa. It has a GPS, 3G connectivity and RFID protection.
The wallet also has a built-in camera. When in ‘lost’ mode, the wallet will take a picture of anybody who is peeking into it. Because this feature is somewhat creepy, it is listed as optional.
The wallet comes in three cardholder, bifold, and travel sizes, with batteries ranging from 2,000mAh to 5,000mAh.The spec list includes Bluetooth 5.0, which is only shipping in one major product right now (the Galaxy S8). The early-bird price on the cardholder model is $98.

LED eyelashes are future fashion
LED eyelashes are future fashion
F.lashes, popularly known as LED eyelashes, are the creation of designer Tien Pham, who first showed them off at Maker Faire earlier this year. Encouraged by the reaction he received, Pham has now launched a Kickstarter to make his wearable electronics into a commercial product, and has already attracted numerous customers.
F.lashes are tiny strips of LEDs that you stick to your eyelids with lash adhesive. The futuristic eyelashes come in seven different colours, and light up in various patterns in response to your movements. While the product is neat and too futuristic to be true, it is not quite ready for the mainstream.
