Paris Hilton has poked fun at US presidential candidate John McCAIN in a new online skit - as payback for him using her image in a campaign video attack on his opponent Barack Obama.
The socialite has filmed a spoof campaign ad for a comedy website, in which she poses on a pool lounger, while offering her energy policy ideas for America, proving she is not a dumb blonde.
Paris, who was enraged when McCain used her in an attack on Obama without her permission, says, "Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity too, only I'm not from the olden days (McCain) and I'm not promising change like that other guy (Obama). I'm just hot.
"But then that wrinkly white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for President. So thanks for the endorsement, white-haired dude. "I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."
Rihanna Engaged?
Rihanna has sparked rumours she is engaged to R&B singer Chris Brown after she was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. The Bajan beauty has been romantically linked to the guy for months, but both singers have continually denied they are a couple.
The pair stepped up speculation about their relationship recently when they were snapped frolicking in a public place in Los Angeles. And now Rihanna has fuelled rumours that they are to walk down the aisle after she was snapped sporting a ring on her left hand.
Salma Hayek Calls Off Engagement
Actress Salma Hayek cut a lonely figure as she took her ten-month-old daughter Valentina shopping in Malibu recently. Soon after, it was revealed that the Frida star and Valentina’s father, billionaire businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, had called off their engagement. Salma began seeing Francois-Henri - who is head of a luxury-goods firm that owns renowned fashion houses - in 2006 after meeting him in Venice. The couple had been maintaining a long-distance relationship, with Francois based in Paris and Salma and their daughter living in LA. But those close to the actress reveal that she is not distressed… “It may have come as a shock to the public but those who know Salma knew this was coming since some time now,” discloses a friend.

Madonna is back to her best, just a week after she was photographed looking pale and haggard. Seven days is a long time if you're the Queen of Pop, and have enough money in the bank to have every wrinkle, and bulge nipped tucked and straightened.
On the same day an American magazine published claims the Material Girl has undergone a US$30,000 cosmetic treatment on her face, our snaps show Madonna on July 27th looking drawn, pale and weak; and then again a week later, with clean and clear skin and her sparkle well and truly back.
The singer, who turns 50 on 16 August, has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks. After allegations she was splitting from husband Guy Ritchie because of an affair with baseball player Alex Rodriguez, one tabloid claimed Madonna had been diagnosed with anaemia and ordered to rest. It seems a little rest - and perhaps the help of a surgeon - have made all the difference.
