They say that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. But on her wedding day, every bride wants to be, and feel like, the most beautiful woman in the world. And why not? After all, such special days come around once in a lifetime. Here’s how to make the most of what you have…
Many of us tend to forget that we should keep our skin tones in mind when it comes to choosing make-up. The colour of your complexion and the shade of your hair both affect which colours look best on you. Figure out whether you look best in cool-toned or warm-toned colours. Then proceed accordingly.
Bridal make-up in Pakistan almost always focuses on the eyes - and with good reason. The impact good eye make-up has on the total look is unmatched by any other aspect of your over-all look. One can opt to match the eye make-up with the bridal dress or go for the dark, smoky look that goes with everything and looks good on practically everyone. Don’t forget false eyelashes – they are a must to create stunning eyes.
Peach and dark pink shades of blush look the best on our skin-tones. The blush should not be over-powering red streaks on the cheeks. Rather, a gentle flush is enough to make a bride look radiant. Lips, neutral or shaded to match the outfit, should be outlined in a shade matching your natural lip colour and then filled in with the colour of your choice.
Most important of all, your make-up should have staying power. On your big day, you want your makeup to last. Not only that, but you want to look stunning in your photographs. So whether you choose to hire a professional make-up artiste or enlist the help of friends and family, the end result should be a gorgeous bride who looks as great as she feels.
