WAKE-UP CALL!
Here are some instant refreshers that will have you looking wide awake till your next shut-eye.

Vanity FareAfter you’ve partied the night away and have overslept, the last thing you have time for in the morning is a rejuvenating face pack and cucumber slices. After all, we know the havoc lack of sleep can cause for your skin and eyes, not to mention your body. Not that you want to show up at work looking like you’re going to spend the rest of the day sleeping at your desk. Which is where we come to your rescue. After a night out, our quick tips will have you looking fresher than sleeping beauty!

Mane menu
If you’ve been out at a party there is no way of avoiding the smoke smell that gets into your hair. A great way to get rid of greasiness and smell is a quick shampoo, spritz some of your favourite perfume onto your palms and run your fingers through your hair. This will make sure there is no greasiness as well as get rid of the smell. Don’t spray the perfume directly onto the hair, as it will dry your hair. If you don’t have time even for a quick shampoo, then just run some perfume through your hair and plait it or tie it up in a bun or stylish chignon.

Skin-tillate
To rejuvenate tired skin the next day, dip a towel in ice cold water and place it on your face. Avoid using ice cubes directly on your face as it may cause the blood vessels to burst. After the ice-cold towel, apply a little apple juice to your face with a cotton swab. Keep for a few minutes and then wash off. Apple juice works as a great skin toner and removes the dullness and dead skin. Follow up with a Vitamin E based face cream after your shower. If your skin feels de-hydrated and taut, pop the Vitamin E pill and gently rub the oil into your face and wash off while showering.

Eye care
The one part of your face that suffers the most because of lack of sleep as well as the smoke, are your eyes. Some of the common problems that arise after a night out are dark circles, red eyes and puffiness the next morning. While medicated eye drops take care of the puffiness and the red eyes, it’s best to hide the dark circles with concealer. Sneak a cold towel into your office fridge, and press on your face and under the eye while no one’s looking. Spritz the towel with geranium aromatherapy oil. This will refresh you instantly.

Face the day
• Skip the coffee, choose a tall glass of apple juice instead. Apple juice will wake you up and is great for your skin as well.
• Popping an antioxidant pill or two vitamin C pills the next morning will ensure that your skin doesn’t look dull and tired.
• If you feel that your eyes are looking droopy, and you have time for make-up, apply a lighter shade of eye shadow that will instantly open up your eyes.
