Tinted moisturiser is the way to go! If there are no major faults with the skin, and the occasion is not formal, go for tinted moisturisers rather than heavy foundations.
Do up the eyes before the rest of the face. Dust loose powder under the eyes to catch any shadow that might fall off the brush during application. Lightly dust off the power when done, and go ahead with the foundation, concealer, et al.
Avoid raccoon eyes. In case your mascara or eyeshadow has smudged under the eyes, use a drop of foundation on a brush to clean up the mess!
Leave those crows feet to the crows. If too many fine wrinkles are showing around the eyes, mix a small amount of eye cream with concealer to hide them.
Cleansing is the most common secret. Cleanse with a mild cleanser before going to bed. In the morning you will have residual oil or night cream, so cleanse again and then finish with a toner.
Quick fix for deep, vertical lip lines lip is balm! A waxy balm acts as a primer which will fill up the lines. Smooth on the lipstick over the balm. For a more permanent solution, turn to anti-aging creams.
Tired of sagging, visibly tired eyes? Make your eyes look younger by applying a thin line of white eyeliner just under the lower lashes
Avoid the clown look like the plague! Correct overblushing by rubbing on a little powder.
Professional brushes are not an expenditure. They’re an investment!
Blending baby oil into powdery foundations and blushes will work wonders on ageing skin.
Always mix colours to banish skin tone annoyances. For example, mixing blue eye shadow into foundation can help even out ruddy complexions. Or mix yellow shadow into your foundation and use it to send those dark circles into exile!
The foundation applicator sponge is your main weapon. Use it in different ways: if you want to have sheer coverage, dampen the sponge, if you want to prevent oil-based foundations from running all over your face, sprinkle a little loose powder on the sponge. Then go ahead and swipe on the foundation.
Get bright, clearer eyes by applying a hint of blue eyeliner just under the lower lashes. Blue eyeliner makes the whites of the eye appear whiter.
To get smokey, striking eyes, work the eyeliner into the lashline. This will give the appearance of longer lashes. Also, layer - rub on powder eyeshadow over eyeliner. Layering will ensure a long lasting, smudged look.
Apply lipstick, then tap a little compact powder on the lips. Re-apply the colour for a long-stay effect.
Mascara is the magic wand! Apply for that magical eye look.
If the eyes are red and runny, just pop in a drop or two of medicated eye drops. Within 30 seconds, all the redness will be gone!
When you do bright eyes, never go for the matte skin look. Instead, opt for a dewy fresh look.
Before applying make-up, de-puff the eyes by applying a little undereye gel.
For a dewy look apply blush on the cheekbones. Then tap a shimmery powder highlighter to make the blush more appealing.
