Kids have a new animated movie to look forward to
A new animated film Allahyar and The Legend of Markhor is in the works and its first teaser shows that it will be absolutely loved by kids and adults, alike. The teaser is a close representation of Pakistan's awe-inspiring natural landscapes and focuses on our national animals. "[Allahyar and The Legend of Markhor] follows a young boy as he discovers the magical world of animals and goes on a journey that explores the relationship between humans and their sentient neighbours on earth," shared associate producer Eyad Ibrahim at 3rd World Studios, the production house behind the venture.
What sets the movie apart from other films is the heavy influence of Pakistan's nature and wildlife, among other things. The national animal [markhor], national heritage animal [snow leopard] and the national bird [partridge] will be seen as the stars of this film that will feature a song by Natasha Baigh, voice over by Arieb Azhar, while Ali Noor will be doing both.

"I was approached for the movie by producer Sanam Mehdi and I knew I had to do it," Rimal shared, adding, "I can't reveal the name of my character but what I can say is that I will be playing a transgender club dancer, which is why I also have a dance number in the movie. Sheheryar will also be performing with me in the song."

It managed to bring together over 1000 youth from all over the city as well as civil societies and key government officials. Notable celebrities were also present to show their support for this program. The ceremony was commenced by Sidra Iqbal, a prominent journalist and activist, introducing AeN as an exemplary initiative that offers holistic training to the youth to develop their professional and entrepreneurial skills, and provide them with a platform for personal growth opportunities. The program will train 1100 youth from Karachi over a period of six months.
Ten consortium members were invited to address any questions by the audiences and media regarding the program. This was followed by success stories of determined and passionate individuals who believed in themselves and accomplished their goals against all odds. Dr. Nafisa Shah, the chief guest at the ceremony, launched the official website of AeN at the event.
Independence Day Celebrations in the air!
Not only in the streets and on roads, Independence Day was also celebrated mid-air, too, when Momina Mustehsan and musician brothers, Sharoon and Haroon, held a live concert on a Pakistan International Airlines flight. The singer, clad and white and green, got the passengers and crew members grooving to her songs, especially the patriotic numbers while the flight was en route to Karachi from Islamabad on the eve of Independence Day. Among the songs she sang were Dil Dil Pakistan and her viral number, Afreen Afreen. TV host Anoushey Ashraf also happened to be on board the same flight. Momina ended the jamming with a message to her fans, the youth of Pakistan, and reminded everyone to do their part in making Pakistan great.
