Be Forever RED CARPET Ready

Want to know Humaima Malik’s go-to skin and hair care routine? Get your notebook out and jot down the tricks to having a skin that always glows and tresses that always bounce.

Travel essentials
My back pack, comfortable boot cuts jeans, PJ’s and loose trousers are a must for a comfortable journey. Sun glasses are my obsession, so they are with me wherever I go. A portable charger, a comfortable yet stylish pair of sneakers, and a good book or playlist are also essential.

Hair care
I avoid styling my hair with heating tools as much as possible; in fact, I don’t style my hair at all. Limit your time in the sun and eat the right food (a diet rich in iron, zinc and protein). Keep your hair clean and nourish your scalp with essential oils, such as coconut, avocado, almond, caster and olive oil. I use L’Oréal Paris Ever Strong Reconstruct Shampoo which is great for dry hair.

Skincare
I am gifted with good skin, so I keep it simple and use Lancôme Crème Radiance Clarifying Cleanser as I believe a good cleanser can take away all the impurities. Because we shoot in harsh weather, I swear by sun screen. My favourite is Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50. My skin also tends to get dry, so I moisturise with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream which suits my skin and keeps it supple and hydrated.

Tips & tricks
The best tip I can give is to work out! I exercise daily, even if it is for 15 minutes a day, I never skip it. I have three cups of green or black tea a day – it helps prevent skin cancer and breaks down collagen, the main cause of wrinkles. I drink more water and skip soft drinks – sodium in soft drinks makes my eyes puffy, so I absolutely avoid that. Cut on the sweet stuff.

Fragrance
Miroir Des Voluptes by Thierry Mugler, Armani SI and Emilio Pucci are some of my favourites.

Conceal like never before

Conceal like never before

The orange coloured concealer is perfect for people with Asian and darker skin tones, looking to hide dark circles or other spots with deep discolouration. For years, concealers have been the saving grace for people struggling to hide problem areas. This particular concealer is best to hide everything from zits and dark circles to elaborate tattoos, as well as highlight cheekbones and eyes, especially blue tinged areas like corners of the mount, inner corners of the eyes and under the eyes.
