Darzi ki Marzi is hilariously real
This local short film explains the actual reasons why tailors keep delaying your clothes. Directed by comedian Faheem Azam, Darzi ki Marzi stars National Academy of Performing Arts actor Nazarul Hasan as the master tailor who explains to a new apprentice the ‘tailor conspiracy’.
“Jo tailor gahak ko waqt pe kapray de de, wo hum main se nahi,” Hasan says. He shares all the tricks of the trade with the apprentice, saying, ‘customer se satisfaction’ is more important than customer satisfaction. “Customer ko tang kar ke jo satisfaction aapko milti hai, wo hoti hai customer se-satisfaction.” The four-minute video is bang on wit and extremely funny to watch.

Sana Fakhar to play Sonya Jehan
Sana Fakhar has joined the cast of Sajal Aly and Noman Ijaz -starrer O Rangreza. "Basically my character is inspired by Noor Jehan," revealed the actress, continuing, "I'm playing Sonya Jehan, who is a central character in the serial." Talking about the drama, she said that it has a "nice set and a great theme".
"Yes, it is a glamorous play but it’s a little different; in this serial, I am playing the role of an actress," she added. With this project being such a shift from Sana's previous works, the actress has been enjoying the journey. She shared, "The experience has been brilliant in terms of working with the director, co-actors and everything else made this experience amazing. We are almost done, just a few more days. Hopefully the drama will wrap up next month." The serial is being directed by Kashif Nisar and penned by Saji Gul. The cast includes Noman Ijaz, Sajal Aly, Sana Fakhar, Irsa, Priya Jabeen, among others. Sana hints at O Rangreza airing in the first week of August.
Humayun Saeed walks out of Project Ghazi
Project Ghazi, billed as Pakistan’s first superhero film, made history on its premiere night, but for all the wrong reasons. The film, which was originally scheduled for release on July 14, was postponed right after its premiere a night before. Project Ghazi appeared to get a harsh response from the audience, as it was packed with technical issues, particularly the sound design. The lead actor Humayun Saeed admitted that the film was incomplete. “I have worked in the film, so I knew the dialogues but even I couldn’t understand anything. Project Ghazi relies heavily on dialogues to explain the storyline and if it’s inexplicable, there is no point. The film cannot be judged right now.”
The actor said he had been telling the producers to postpone it for about a month. “Project Ghazi has potential as a film, so why not wait and deliver a better product to the masses? I don’t know but maybe the producers were under some pressure from the brands or something that made them continue with the premiere,” Saeed noted. “He said it wasn’t that bad but I literally walked out halfway because I knew I’d have to stop it from releasing.” The Bin Roye star has predicted that it will take at least four to five months to fix the issues and finally release it.
Nimra Khan joins Baaghi as Qandeel Baloch's younger sister
Nimra Khan is the latest to join the cast of what could possibly be the most awaited drama of the year, Baaghi. The actress, who was last seen on big screen in Mehrunisa V Lub U, will be joining a star-studded cast that includes Saba Qamar, Osman Khalid Butt, Sarmad Khoosat and Ali Kazmi, to name a few. Talking about how she bagged the role, Khan shared, "Well, Nina Kashif approached me for this role; she had already seen Saba and me together a few times. She thought we resembled one another, so she offered the role of her younger sister to me. She's a young, impressionable girl who just wants to be pretty and famous like her sister."
She added, "The drama takes place for a large part in a village and the cast had to copy a Punjabi accent. Luckily, my mother happens to be Kashmiri-Punjabi, so the accent came naturally." The young star has high hoped from this project. "This show is not fiction but actually based on a real person, everyone is familiar with Qandeel Baloch, and her death was a topic of discussion. Everyone wants to know who she was and why she was killed. So I think it will be of interest to the audience and people will surely watch it," claims the Blind Love actor.
