I dislocated my shoulder a year back. My doctor said I have to be very careful otherwise I will dislocate it again. What happens when a shoulder is dislocated and how can I avoid further injury? Ahmed

Ahmed, you have not written your age, because with age, bones get stronger. If you dislocated your shoulder a year back, you should be very careful because the ligament, and the connective tissues surrounding the joint gets torn and needs time to heal and to become stronger. As time will pass it will get stronger and heal completely.
You can avoid further injury by:
i. Not lifting any heavy object by that arm.
ii. Avoiding pulling anything.
iii. Doing light exercises regularly and
physiotherapy as directed by your
orthopaedic surgeon.
