Kajol Snubs Aparna Sen
Having churned blockbusters, Aparna Sen, with her remarkable movie making skills, needs no introduction. The talented filmmaker, who has the best talents in the industry lining up to work with her, recently, received a shocker after dusky beauty Kajol arrogantly walked out on Sen.
Unbelievable as it may sound, Kajol left Aparna dumfounded after she excused herself and walked out in haste when Sen was narrating a story to her. Buzz has it that Aparna had written a Bengali film ‘Iti Mrinalni’ that is reportedly based on her life. The filmmaker wanted the dusky actress to portray her on-screen. But to her dismay Kajol not only refused, she showcased her refusal in the most raucous terms.
What’s more is that Aparna had been chasing Kajol for months now. And after finally getting an appointment for 15 minutes with her, Aparna was left all by herself.
It was only after waiting for an hour for Kajol that Aparna realised that she wasn’t coming back and so she left the Devgan residence feeling humiliated.
Media Frenzy
Dino Morea doesn’t kiss and tell. Unfortunately for him, his reputation of lady-killer precedes him. The actor-cum-restaurateur is written about more for his personal relationships than his acting career.
“I find it very annoying and intrusive to have my personal life constantly speculated upon,” says the actor. “I’m not in a relationship with anyone right now. I’m single and in a happy state currently. I just want to spend some Dino time.” He further adds, “I can maintain a friendship without ulterior motives. I hate the fact that people just see me talking to a person and jump to unnecessary conclusions. People have been linking me with my ex’s. But, I’m not dating anyone currently.”
End 2009, Dino will also wear the producer’s hat. “My first production is a romantic comedy with a fresh young cast set in England,’’ he says, adding, “And, I’m also looking at a couple of other scripts simultaneously.”
Longing For Appreciation
Love Aaj Kal is the most successful film of Saif Ali Khan’s career. However, he still has one regret - he can’t get his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi to see it.
“My father rarely sees films,” says Saif. “The last film of mine that he saw and liked was Parineeta. He said I had done well in it... and I was ecstatic.”
However, despite all the hullabaloo surrounding his latest home-production, Saif hasn’t been able to tempt his father to visit a theatre in Delhi to catch a screening of it. “I know dad cares a lot about me,” says the actor.
“If he doesn’t watch my films, it is only because he doesn’t like watching films per se. It is nothing personal.” Yet he admits that if his dad sends him even a word of appreciation, it means the world to him.
