Sridevi To Stage A Comeback
Sridevi’s fans, who have been waiting to see her on the big screen ever since she took a break from acting in 1997, now have a reason to rejoice. She’s all set for her Bollywood comeback in husband Boney Kapoor’s production Mr India 2.
"Sri's fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. There has been a great deal of speculation about her return and now it is finally on,” Boney said.
"We've already locked in the script. In two weeks, we'll finalise the director," he revealed.
Directed by Shekhar Kapur, Mr India (1987) is a science fiction/super hero film. It starred Boney’s brother Anil Kapoor in the title role with Sridevi as his love interest.
The two will be seen in the sequel too, along with Salman Khan, who apparently insisted on being a part of the film.
"I don't think I can make a film without Salman. He is in Mr India 2 and also in the sequels to No Entry and Wanted. I'm his new Sooraj Barjatya," Boney was quoted as saying.
Mr India 2 is all set to go on the floors early next year.
Sonu Invites Larry King To India
Sonu Nigam has invited America’s top talk show host Larry King to India, and the invitation has been accepted. Sonu, who is not to be seen much in Mumbai these days, confirmed that he has been in New York and Los Angeles for the last six months working on various projects and concerts.
If reports are to be believed, Sonu is even planning to shift his base to the US and is in search of an apartment in New York. Talking about how he managed to meet Larry King, Sonu said that he met him through his wife Shawn King.
Shawn is a brilliant country music singer. At a concert, music director Damon Elliot introduced Sonu to Shawn, who in turn invited Sonu to her residence where he met Larry. In the meeting Sonu extended the invitation and convinced Larry King to come to India.
