Fahad Mustafa lands himself in trouble over his remarks on ‘Dunk’

In hot water

Celebrities are generally very well trained to give measured answers about things, especially controversial topics. However, every once in a while, it so happens that they make mistakes and end up saying some really controversial things. Though not all of it can be attributed to human error, sometimes people say scandalous stuff on purpose. Recently, Pakistani actor, model and host, Fahad Mustafa made remarks on the drama serial Dunk, which is produced by his production house. Mustafa’s statement landed him in hot water as the drama appears to be on the sensitive issue of harassment. He took to his social media and called the show a “tribute to victims who have been wrongly accused.” He further added, “I think brands should take a stand and set an example by working with the people who have been falsely accused of sexual harassment, to support them and clear their name.” This soon created a chaos on social media, leaving many users angry on the actor as in a country like Pakistan where issues like harassment and rape are widespread; making a drama on false accusations is a huge obstruction in the way of the #MeToo movement.
