Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood dissolve Strings after 33 years

It's a wrap, folks

All the good things in life come to an end. That’s right, even your favourite band can split. Whether they break up as a result of artistic differences or are ripped apart by tragedy, many major and essential music artists call it quits during their careers. But the most notable band dissolution that took place this year and left us devastated is the breakup of Pakistan’s most beloved band Strings. The band that gave us hits like Sar Kiye Ye Pahar, Anjanay, Zinda Hoon and many more called it quits after 33 years of composing music that swept the world of its feet. The band made an official announcement of parting ways on their social media in a post that read, “This post is a bit different from the usual. We have decided that today, 25/03/2021, is the day we graciously get to conclude Strings. The past 33 years have been incredible for both of us. It’s so rare to have the chance to be able to do things like this and we are infinitely grateful to all of our fans for making it possible. We hope you found it worthwhile as well.”
