Monotone clothing is big this year. It has gone from drab and dreary to chic and trendy. And if worn correctly it can put all other fashion trends in shade. We thought monotone could be boring but this year, fashion designers are leaving no stone unturned in showing us why it is one of the biggest trends.

The main colours that are ruling the fashion scene are hues of whites, blacks and pinks. If you are someone who likes to go all out with just one colour, here’s a tip: try picking one colour and wear shades of the same or you can even pair it with white for a look that stands out. If you want, you can break it with a print and visionary embroidery. We love the intricate embroidered details at the sleeves of this number in pink. We also love how the designer has added a pop of colour to this top to toe white ensemble by adding floral embroidery in pink and green.

Also, we cannot stress enough on how important sleeves and borders are to the entire look. Of late, sleeve and hem designs are hogging all the limelight and the trend continues well into this season as well. A trend that caught fire in the wedding season, fringes continue to ruffle us (pun intended) this season too.

Apart from fringes at the borders and sleeves, designers are also going for different cutworks to elevate their outfits, like the cutwork done at the hem and sleeves of this black kurti. All in all, the attention of the designers is now more towards creating versatile cuts and silhouettes and opting for simple, lighter hues rather than going all out on embroideries, embellishments and bold hues.
