Shah Rukh Khan fans rate his performance in Devdas as one of his best. And rightfully so. His co-star, Tiku Talsania revealed that the actor did actually consume liquor in some of the scenes to make them look more authentic. It seems the superstar believed that the character's 'intoxication' on screen needed to come through his eyes.

In a recent interview, Tiku Talsania, who played the part of Dharamdas, said that they were shooting on a hot summer afternoon where SRK kept on gulping shots of rum, one after another. Talsania told him that he just needed to pretend that he was drunk. Shah Rukh Khan, who was fully in Devdas mode, however said that he would manage the acting but the alcohol would not show in his eyes if he did not drink. "Sir acting toh ho jayegi. Aankhon mein sharab dikhti nahi hai na, uska kya," the actor shared SRK as saying. He complimented Shah Rukh Khan's keen eye for details and shared that he is a genius who goes the extra mile for his character.
