Celebrity Resolutions
- 04 Jan - 10 Jan, 2020
2018 has been somewhat of a rollercoaster year and as it closed to a draw, it is noteworthy of being written down in history as a year of change. Since we are on the subject of change, New Years seems apt for making some big changes, even if it merely comes down to trying. We at MAG spoke to the glitzy blitzy residents of the fashion and film fraternity on what changes they resolute to make, welcoming 2019, and here’s what your favourite stars had to say.
In 2019, I want to invest less time on social media and more in real life.
This year I want to quit smoking, get fit, work harder, sleep early and get up early, help people who are not as privileged and perform Umrah.
This year, I’ll quit smoking, will try getting more quality sleep to curb my insomniac tendencies. I will definitely try getting more songs out.
I want to live to the fullest with all the people around me who I love, spend some more time with my family, look after my fitness a lot more and finally say no to junk food.
Let’s block the accounts who spread negativity and give useless suggestions. Instead of giving them so much importance to even give a shut up call. Also, believe in yourself.
I have three resolutions:
• To never forget that I need to be grateful for everything I have been blessed in my life.
• To take out time, every single day, to be with my husband and children, no matter what my schedule looks like because family is priority.
• To make time for nihari every once in a while, no matter what low-calorie, zero-carb diet I may be on.
Since I just had a baby, my New Year resolution is to spend quality time with him and shed my post pregnancy weight.
I want to treat every day as a new opportunity, learn from yesterday’s good and bad and move on.
Being blessed with the opportunities of another year, I want to live each day as it is and not think too much about the future or the past.
In 2019, my only resolution is to try and keep alive.
Be good to other human beings and practice empathy.
With the dawn of the new year, I will try to be a better human and be more driven towards achieving a positive change in the life of the people around me.
I try to follow up on the basic disciplines that have made me improve and progress as a person and a professional. I believe if you are not improving you are falling behind. Constant and never-ending improvement is something I look forward to next year.
I’ll try my best to do whatever I can to make this world a better place for each and every individual, spreading peace and happiness and for all that to happen, I guess you just need to start with a smile, no matter what. Just smile, keep faith and work hard.
With the dawn of a new year, I want to work harder on all opportunities God has bestowed upon me and I strongly urge everyone including myself to be more kind and full of love towards fellow human beings. Be more grateful and spend more time with family in order to stay rooted and grounded.
Entering 2019, I am determined to make big lifestyle changes. I want to stay more present and in the moment and do all I can to continue to lead a healthy and happy life.
My New Year resolution is to gain weight! I’ve been carrying my slim physique for too long to the point of feeling weak. I want to get back to my energetic self. Also, I want to make a haven out of my new house.
I want to stress about things less, live for myself more and exactly do what I want to do without apology and political correctness. And not let over- thinking take a toll on the state of my mind.
Starting the New Year, I want to stay more focused on my health as my number one priority and not just for a year but always. I want to try to totally exclude all junk food, sodas and all that stuff that has a negative impact. Health is wealth and I guess it is never too late to set this rule up.
I want to try to get a workout or some form exercise into my life, eat more good food, laugh out loud a lot more, adopt more animals, try and travel more and give as much love as I can to the world. Moreover as a psychotherapist, talk more about mental health and spread awareness.
As of New Year, I want to practice more detox in terms of health and otherwise, starting with getting some exercise and negative people out of my life.
I want to be happy in any given circumstance. I am aiming to be adventurous in my professional life. My fans shall see me attempting and exploring different arenas like singing and production.
Being the patriot that I am, I want to become the best Pakistani ever in terms of following rules, paying taxes and helping our Pakistani awaam. Naye Pakistan ki justujoo.
I want to look younger, work harder and keep doing good work.
Love people, love Pakistan and try to develop more patience.
Every year as I evolve, I try to be a better version of myself. In 2019, I’d like to seek more knowledge and work towards the betterment of society.
As a creative artist, I want to hone and define my craft to the degree of an international menswear designer. I want to become better so that I can represent my country at that level and show the world the potential of eastern fashion.
