Foreign films are often feared and rejected by viewers accustomed to consuming foreign language productions. In recent years, the social perspective has been changing, and this has favoured the box office and allowed the industry to increase the possibilities. One such movie which is slowly going global is Pakistani military action film, Parwaaz Hai Junoon which was released in the country in 2018 and now after over three decades it is finally releasing commercially in China on 13th November 2020. The movie stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir and Ahad Raza Mir in the lead. Hamza took to his social media to share his pleasure over the news and said, “Grateful to Allah that I got to be a part of the 1st Pakistani Film to be released in China after 40 yrs.” This is definitely a big achievement for the Pakistani cinema as this might open doors for our films to flourish overseas.
