Since winning the sixth series of The Great British Baking Show back in 2015, Nadiya Hussain’s star has exploded. The baker has published a series of cookbooks, hosted and appeared on television series, and even baked a cake for the Queen of England. Her latest endeavor, Nadiya Bakes, is now streaming on Netflix, and it is a more than worthy addition to her lengthy resume. Nadiya Hussain wants you to bake, eat, and be happy. And she’s going to show you just how she accomplishes it. Over the course of Nadiya Bakes, The Great British Bake Off alum will bake her special spins on treats both sweet and savoury, combining flavours and textures you may never have thought of. In addition to getting down to business in her own kitchen, Nadiya also shines a spotlight on her favourite bakers and pastry chefs across UK. The first is Julie Jones, a home baker who turns classic fruit tarts and pies into edible works of art. In the first installment of Nadiya Bakes, Nadiya prepares four different dishes. Also, she is no stranger to cooking on camera, but she’s still got the same twinkle in her eye that made everyone fall in love with her during her time on The Great British Bake Off. She puts funky spins on familiar dishes both sweet and savoury, unafraid to mix unexpected flavours.
