Going big!

Cannes is that beautiful little city on the French Riviera which is famed for its international film festival. Over the years, the city has become synonymous with cinema. Festival de Cannes is so much more than just all that glitz and glamour we witness on the red carpet. Every year, the festival showcases some of the greatest works in cinematic art. This year, one masterpiece from Pakistan i.e. Shyraa Roy and Mohsin Abbas Haider’s song Kamli, has also been selected for screening at the Cannes Short Film Festival. The song was released earlier this year. The plot of the music video revolves around the love story of a couple belonging to two different religious groups. In an exclusive conversation with MAG, the fairly new entrant in the music industry, Shyraa Roy, expresses her joy over the news and says, “After Mahira Khan, I’m the Pakistani actress to debut at the prestigious Cannes. It’s a huge achievement for me. I’m very happy and looking forward to it!”
