VAULT COUTURE

6 of our most favourite outfits from MAG's exclusive cover shoots

1. We are utterly in awe of Huma Adnan’s creations sported by Hina Altaf here. This white mesh dress from the collection is our personal favourite. We love how this outfit is juxtaposition between vintage and modern, reserved and unrestrained, traditional and innovative. The print, the silhouette and the vintage embroidery, heavily crafted with layers of chunky jewellery bestow the ensemble a bohemian identity.

2. This whitewashed shoot made it to our list because of this very ethereal saree. We love this pant style saree drape. The pant style saree drape is super easy to wear, looks comfortable and functional as well. So, ditch your petticoat and replace it with a pant and drape your saree around it. Also, the modish look of a pant style drape makes it the perfect choice for the cocktail hour soiree.

3. We love this one here because of its modern twist on the age old saree draping way with the pleated skirt and pallu. And as we talk about sarees and contemporary styles, there’s no doubt that Ayesha Omar is always sartorially slaying it with or without a saree. But here, the starlet is giving us some major saree draping stylespiration with a graphic printed saree worn with a waist belt.

4. Let’s admit it, nothing looks elegant and sexy as a high slit dress. And that’s why this one made it to our list of favourites. The good thing about a high slit is you can expose according to your comfort. Just the idea of having a front or side slit will add to your look and you can decide the length as per your choice and comfort.

5. Nimra Khan looked absolutely gorgeous in this one from last year. Her floor sweeping embellished white gown is absolutely gorgeous. To top it off, the designer added a cape. Capes have been a red carpet favourite for a while now. But now they are not just reserved for the red carpets but have been featured in various disguises for different occasions. So, trust a sweeping cape to spruce up any outfit.

6. This outfit donned by Mawra Hocane makes one thing clear, vintage fashion is back for good. The loose pants, the skin-fitted top, the monochrome hue, the hair accessory, everything is giving some major retro-chic vibes. So, if you're ready to embrace the nostalgia and give the fashion of the '60s and '70s another go, slump and embrace these trends from the yesteryears.
