60 SECONDS WITH HUMAIMA MALICK

From her school days to the heydays, Humaima Malick knew what she wanted to do. What she performed in front of the mirror, the audiences got to see years later – Humaima waltzing, and stamping her mark on the fashion runway, and in front of the lens – silver screen as well as television. MAG brings you the shining star from the blockbuster film Maula Jatt, in which she gave a power packed performance. She can now be seen in her new drama Jindo on Green Entertainment. The starlet joins us for a fun rapid fire. Excerpts:

How would you define yourself?

Humaima is a caretaker and a mother to her siblings. I have looked after them ever since they were young. I can never ever think for myself alone.

What’s your secret to staying in shape?

I just work out a lot as I have a tendency to gain weight.

What’s your beauty philosophy?

I look better and prettier when I get to sleep.

Favourite TV show of all time?

I love Narcos.

Things you can’t travel without?

Fragrances, my phone, a battery pack and a hand cream is what I travel with.

One thing you can eat every day without getting bored?

I eat paratha every morning; I have been having it every day since school.

One thing you’re exceptionally good at?

I am a good chef, but baking is what speaks to me, especially preparing desserts.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I love London! I always spend a lot of time in the city for I have family there and I am always thinking about my primary circle. For me, family always comes first.

Dine out or stay in?

I am a complete foodie who loves to eat at home. I don’t like dining out and desi cuisine is my favourite. I’m the karahi, roti, paratha kind, and not a restaurant person.

If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?

A while back, I had some good and bad moments but I wouldn’t want to change anything about it.
