Sajal Aly reportedly exits from the ‘Fatima Jinnah’ web series

Opted out

Filmmaker Danial K Afzal unveiled his ambitious project about Fatima Jinnah, the mother of the nation, a little more than a year ago. Sajal Aly, Samiya Mumtaz, and Sundas Farhan, who played the prominent political leader in the film's advertising materials, were among the cast members he was able to secure for the web series. The producers later released a prologue in which Sajal played the lead role. Once the project appeared on screen, it impressed some and irritated others. In the iconic character of Fatima Jinnah, the Kuch Ankahi star was widely regarded as a "misfit." Sajal's manager, announced that she had departed the project. She declared, "Sajal has left the Fatima Jinnah show. We send Danial and the show our best wishes going forward. The makers have already found a replacement, Danial then stated. We just wanted to move on and get the programme going once we did part ways, he continued. "Instead of Sajal, we've already chosen the actor who would portray Fatima Jinnah. We'll soon be able to make a statement." Usman Mukhtar portrays Allama Iqbal in the television series, and Sarmad Khoosat plays Mahatma Gandhi, among other well-known people. Expectations are high for the show's historical and personal themes as the lead cast is scheduled to be revealed.
