Lame duck ends! Both of them; Daldal and Alif Allah Aur Insan!

A serial of so many tracks that merged in a situation at the red signal was skilfully written and directed professionally. After quite a while, the serial proved to be one that tackled a variety of subjects instead of just issues linked with the family unit. It brought out the best of many artistes like Ushna Shah, Imran Ashraf, Usman Peerzadah, Qavi Khan, Noorul Hasan, Naima Khan, Kubra Khan, Mekaal Zulfiqar, Farhan Ali Agha, Shehzad Sheikh and others, ended with a whimper!

In fact, it had deteriorated in the second half, when new characters were added to the serial. Everything was happening too quickly and haphazardly. In the first meeting with her new friend’s brother, Kubra gets his proposal. It was really odd. Then, Mekaal’s mother accepts the new girl he brings home as her bahu, praising her to the stars. This gives you the disturbing feeling that Qaisera Hayat, the writer, was being governed by the commercial vectors. So much so that the rest of the serial was compromised!
