I am deeply humbled to be awarded one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honours, the prestigious ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’. This is a testament to the dedication of my entire team and the unwavering support and love from my family and friends.

On the occasion of 76th Independence Day of Pakistan, President Dr Arif Alvi has conferred ‘Pakistan Civil Awards’ on 696 Pakistani as well as foreign nationals for showing excellence in their respective fields. The list also included director Bilal Lashari who was humbled to being awarded with the highest civil award of the country.

Today we mark 76 years since our independence. It has been a tumultuous journey, with many ups and downs. But we persevere with hope in our hearts. Regardless of the political winds, never forget that we the people have the power to shape our future. Let us use our freedom wisely, to build the just, prosperous and inclusive society we dream of. On this 14th of August, I pray for peace, unity and progress. May we keep sight of our founding ideals amidst the storms of the present. Pakistan Zindabad!
