One of high demand, owner of Mizka’s Salon takes some much-nagging questions about hair care and answers them with her hands-on expertise. Excerpts:

How much bleaching is too much bleaching? My hair is jet black and I absolutely LOVE colouring it!

It’s okay to want to change your hair, but anything that is done too much is wrong. If you are going to bleach your hair, do it after five months each, so that the hair gets a chance to repair itself.

Your go-to hair pack for healthy lustrous locks?

My favourite thing for hair is aloe Vera mixed with oil. It works wonders.

How do I get the most of my hair colour in terms of time?

Use sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner. Try to wash it as less as possible and don’t apply too much heat on it.

Someone once said only conditioner wash your hair post-colour. What do you suggest?

Use conditioner after each shampoo wash and there’s no other way! Each time you shampoo, you open up cutilcles. You must condition to close them.

Give us some advice for summer hair-care.

Oil! Try regular hair treatments and trim your hair.

Predict the season’s colours!

Blondes! Every shade of blonde.

What should I look for when choosing a shampoo and a conditioner?

Use a basic shampoo with no sulphate.

Colour or extenso – Which should I opt for first?

Extenso and then colour, always.

Best way to breathe life into frizzy hair?

Keratin.

Any fix for dandruff?

We have a bunch of gels at the salon and treatments. But try egg yolk and mustard oil.
