Uzma Khan filed a complaint against Malik Riaz’s daughters and released her official statement on her social media: "I have been shamed, harassed, been threatened to kill in the past three days. I feel like I have nothing to lose now and I have decided to fight the strongest people of Pakistan. For me it is either I get justice or I get killed but there is no turning back now. I will fight against daughters (Amber Malik and Pashmina Malik) of Malik Riaz who stormed into my house around midnight with 12 gunmen. I request the police to register my FIR and conduct me and my sister's medical examination before our wounds start to heal. I hope I am as much Pakistani as Malik Riaz."

Soon after Khan’s statement, Amna Usman, the accused, issued a video statement of her defense. She said, "Firstly, I'd like to add that my husband, Usman Malik has nothing to do with Malik Riaz Hussain, he's not a part of his immediate family.” She further added that, "As far as barging into someone's home is concerned, this was not their house. This was my husband's other house which I followed him to, so basically this was my husband's home and I had every right to be there. I repeatedly warned this girl to save my 13-year-long marriage. This was not the first time I approached her."

Malik Riaz’s daughters allegedly flew out of Pakistan as per Hassan Niazi’s statement on Twitter. It read, “So, police fails to arrest daughters of Malik Riaz. And rumour is they’ve flown out from Pakistan. Thank you Punjab government, thank you Punjab police. And well done people, while you discuss the character of #uzmaKhan the criminals seem to have gotten a safe passage.”

Malik Riaz, took to Twitter to announce that he will be filing a lawsuit against Uzma khan’s lawyer for wrongfully maligning his name in the ongoing controversial case. His tweet read as, “Legal proceedings initiated against an individual having a history of miscreant behaviour himself. Any attempts to defame me wrongfully will be dealt with legal action.”

As a result, the actress also issued her latest statement on the same day which stated: “I categorically condemn all personal attacks on myself and anyone involved in this case, even those nominated in the FIR. My fight is legal, blatant maligning and mudslinging is only reflective of our society’s deep-rooted misogyny and patriarchy.” She further said, “I am totally shattered. Probably beyond repair. But please I beg of you NOT to make this a fight of women attacking other women.” She continued, “This is a fight of mighty, powerful against the weak and vulnerable.”

This is a developing story.
