60 SECONDS WITH JUNAID KHAN

Even as they've won countless awards and earned million in the world of music, many stars aren't willing to limit their talents to just singing. Throughout the years, a number of musicians of all genres have made the leap from music to film (or television), and generally, the results are pretty spectacular. And one just singer-turned-actor is Junaid Khan. Khan started his career as the lead vocalist of the band Call. His career experienced a major turn when he ventured into acting in TV serials. It was a bold step, completely opposite to his music career but he managed to excel in that area too. MAG catches up with the multitalented artist for a quick and fun rapid fire. Excerpts:

If your life was a movie, what genre would it be?

Drama, romance.

One thing you can eat any time of the day?

Eggs.

Favourite cartoon character of all time?

Mojo Jojo.

An actor you would want to swap lives with?

Tom Cruise.

If you were to run away and start fresh, where would you go?

Singapore.

Best and worst purchase you have ever made?

Best: A5.

Worst: A mobile phone which costed more than its actual worth.

Favourite book of all time?

Holy Quran.

One ridiculous thing you grew up believing as a child?

Can’t share that here. [laughs]

If you could pick your own nickname, what would it be?

I’ve been called Juni, Johnny, Jay, Junes. I like them all.

What would a day with yourself look like?

Lots of binge eating, watching movies and doing some workout.

How do you take your coffee?

Black.

Them roaches.

One outrageous dream?

To travel the world visa free.
