Lenovo’s new Yoga laptops feature the latest Intel and AMD chips

Tech news

Behold: Lenovo has rebranded its Yoga C740 and Yoga C640 as the Yoga 7i and Yoga 6, respectively. The 7i will include Intel’s latest CPUs – presumably the upcoming “Tiger Lake” generation. AMD’s Ryzen 4000 line gave Intel a run for its money this year, so it’ll be interesting to see whether the new chips can bounce back. Intel claims they’ll offer significantly better speeds while drawing less power than previous generations, thanks to its new 10nm SuperFin design. Like its predecessor, the new 7i looks to be a convertible MacBook Air competitor targeting midrange consumers. It comes in 14-inch and 15-inch configurations and features front-facing Dolby Atmos speakers, Amazon Alexa integration, a webcam with an integrated privacy shutter, and two ports that support Intel’s new Thunderbolt 4 standard. Lenovo claims you’ll get 13 hours of battery life out of the 15-inch model, and 16 hours on the 14-inch model. It’s also promising a very fast boot time – as per the company, you’ll see the 7i up and running “the moment you open the lid.” The company is also claiming 18 hours of battery life, a 300-nit screen, and a compact 2.9-pound chassis. This one comes with Alexa, too. The Yoga 6 will hit shelves in October, and it starts at $699. The 7i will be available in November starting at $799.

New images of Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense leaked

The first look of Fitbit’s new smart watches, the Versa 3 and Sense, has leaked, courtesy of WinFuture, showing off the upcoming fitness tracking-focused devices. The renders don’t provide too much information about what fans can expect from the new hardware. There are, however, some immediate changes. For example, it appears that both Versa 3 and Sense will no longer have physical buttons, 9to5 Google reports. Instead, there’s an indented notch on the side that appears to be similar to the pressure-sensitive “inductive button” that the company debuted back in 2018. The Versa 3 also has “icons for what appear to be voice controls, location/GPS, and water resistance of 50M.” The Versa 2 was released in September 2019 for $199.99 and was one of the company’s first big forays into the smart watch market in an attempt to compete with companies like Samsung and Apple. The leak also shows off the Fitbit Sense, a new smart watch model. It’s not fully clear what makes the Sense different from the Versa, but 9to5Google speculates based on a new heart icon that it might offer an electrocardiogram built into the device to track heart rate, similar to the Apple Watch. The renders, which also include a look at the Fitbit Inspire 2 fitness tracker, can be seen on WinFuture.
