When it comes to makeup, the most fun part of it is the swiping on of the eyeliner. Though tricky, it turns out to be quite an everyday ritual once you get the hand of it. In fact, it is the quintessential college girl look. A kajal or a liquid eyeliner is in almost every makeup travel bag, that ultimately lands on the lashline almost twice every day. If there was one makeup product that had the ability to spruce up your look or liven up your makeup, it has to be the eyeliner.

For a while now, the basic eyeliner has expanded to double wings, extended lines, white, silver or neon lines, or flower designs on the eye corner, which have been leaving beauty enthusiasts wild. Known as the graphic eyeliner look, even celebs have been opting for the quirky swoosh makeup, especially blown out on the internet after the teen-hit series Euphoria.

On the dot

A blurred dot is a favourite of ours because it makes maximum impact with minimal effort. To get the look, create definition by tight-lining with M·A·C Studio Chromagraphic Pencil. Then dot the Lancome Artliner Precision Point EyeLiner in Azur near the outer bottom corner, a millimetre from the base of lower lashes, twisting it to get a larger-sized dot. Make sure you look straight ahead when applying it to get the placement right. Set the liner by blending a matching powder shadow (try Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette on top. Give lids a glossy finish with RMS Beauty Luminiser X Quad to keep the look modern and effortless.

Open space

The unexpectedness of a disconnected line reads as a little rebellious. To get the look, accentuate the inner corners by tracing them with M·A·C Pro Longwear Eye Liner in Mountain Air. Then, starting from the outer corner of the top lash line, use Lancome Artliner Precision Point EyeLiner in Cuir to draw out a half inch, and then make a sharp corner and continue downward until you reach the crease. Keep a cotton swab soaked in Galenic Cleansing Micellar Water on hand to clean up any smudges or mistakes.

Hot metal

A glam smoky metallic wing feels cool. The key is to follow the shape of your eye and choose warm, luxe tones that make it look expensive. To get the look, using a small pointy liner brush and the deep bronze shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette Colour-Coded Eyeshadows in The Dolce Vita, form a wing outward and up towards the end of brows, then brush remaining shadow all over the lids. Blend the lower lash lines with the rust-coloured shadow. Press the golden shadow on the center of lids to create dimension and inner corners to open up eyes. Blur any edges with a small blending brush.

Dot your eyes

These little dots are graphic, yet delicate. And it’s that balance that makes it work and wearable. To get the look, at the outer corner, where a wing would be, use the FLiRT Dot Dot Dot Dual Eyeliner Art to create three small dots in a triangle shape.
