In the glimmering world of showbiz, rising star Rafay Chaudhry has made his entry. Young Rafay Chaudhry has worked in two films with director Abu Aleeha. He aspires to carve his own place in the Pakistani film industry and establish his own production house. In a conversation about himself, Rafay revealed that he is a true Lahori, born and raised in Lahore. He has a Libra star sign, and he believes that he possesses all the typical characteristics of a Libra, which include being affectionate, open-hearted, and open-minded.

Rafay's education started in Lahore, but he moved to Dubai for further studies at Middlesex University, where he completed the International Foundation Program. After that, he returned to Lahore to pursue his BBA degree. Alongside his studies, Rafay began his journey in the world of business, collaborating with his father, Aamir Mehmood Chaudhry.

From a young age, Rafay had a passion for acting, and now he is finally pursuing it. He shared that his interest in showbiz started from childhood, watching movies and getting greatly influenced by Salman Khan. His dream was to become an actor like Salman Khan and earn fame and love from the audience. In Pakistan, he admires Humayun Saeed and Fawad Khan. Now, he is a part of the showbiz industry, having played a role in director Abu Aleeha's film Shot Cut, which was released recently. Besides that, he has also made some short films, including one titled Haveli Paheli, which he found to be a valuable learning experience.

Rafay intends to produce an international-level Punjabi film, collaborating with Pakistani comedians and international artists like Indian actor Gippy Grewal. He is keen on working with Indian Punjabi artists and creating films that can compete on an international scale. Rafay believes that Pakistani production houses and producers are not giving enough opportunities to new talents, while in India and other countries, they nurture and encourage new talents. Therefore, he is determined to establish his own production house to provide opportunities to new talents.

He pointed out the disparity in budget and scale between Pakistani and Indian films. Indian films often have much larger budgets and shoot at exotic locations. Rafay believes that Pakistan should also invest in quality films and give people a reason to come to cinemas. He stated that he loves good music, both Indian and Pakistani, and frequently listens to Indian songs with enthusiasm.

Rafay expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from his parents, especially his father, Aamir Mehmood Chaudhry. He believes that his father's support has been crucial in his progress. Rafay is the first in his family to enter showbiz, while his uncle, Raza Mehmood Chaudhry, had some experience in modelling during his youth. However, he did not pursue a career in showbiz, unlike Rafay.

In the future, Rafay plans to work in Urdu films along with Punjabi ones. He wants to collaborate with directors like Syed Noor and Shahzad Rafique. His passion is focused on acting and silver screen projects, and he aims to make a mark in the film industry. Rafay believes that Pakistani films should be showcased in cinemas alongside Indian films to support the local film industry. Watching Indian Punjabi films brings joy to people, even if only for a short while, as they forget their worries and have a good laugh. •
