Trend Envogue

Temperatures are soaring here in Karachi and the rest of the country won’t be far behind – it’s time to get your wardrobe summer-ready! Clothing-wise, there’s only way to handle summer in Pakistan – it’s got to be lawn. While lawn and its derivatives, like malai lawn, are popular choices, let’s not forget that Eid is going to be around the corner as well. With the launch of a new season of lawn from a plethora of brands as usual as well as Eid collections coming out by the second, we’re definitely going to be spoilt for choice this season.

Game of Pleats
If you are a fan of a design, you can stick to that as well instead of following the herd. Go as bold as your creative freedom allows. Pleats, for example, are a gorgeous trend but they seems to have taken a backseat in recent times. You can make/get a pleated shirt or a long maxi-type dress in a beautiful summer colour. Add some embroidery in a contrasting shade, and you are good to go!

Pastel Delight
The new collections have something for every taste and every occasion. The premium lawn collections and the Eid collections will have you covered for every formal and semi-formal occasion this summer, with outfits that have a seriously designer feel. One thing you can count on are pastels! Collections are bound to have countless options in pastels. Pair your dress with an organza dupatta to elevate your look.

Linear Play
Use your clothes to your advantage! There are ways to wearing a certain dress that can make you look slimmer, taller and everything in between. Vertical stripes add to the illusion of height and make the person look slimmer as well. Choose two of your favourite colours to alternate between stripes.

Keep It Light
While the back-to-back collections coming out may seem enticing, remember that you need to keep things light and airy, as celebrations aside, the weather will still be too hot and humid. Try and opt for malai lawn and colours that seem easy on the eyes.

Textural Trick
If you are into sober shades, add interesting details to your dress to stand out. This dress has self-embossed designing but there are loops added to the sleeves and hemline as well as a fine lace to the borders of the dupatta in a contrasting colour. Motifs in the same colour have been added on the shirt and dupatta as well.

Summer-Ready
Gone is the season of dull shades. The seasonal shift to spring/summer will give you ample opportunity to get your hands on beautiful bright shades. This gorgeous dress speaks for itself but the delicate white embroidery on it adds even more grace.
