For the 16th time, the British-Pakistani fashion designer Omar Mansoor has made the country proud by showcasing his extravagant capsule collection recently for spring/summer 2020 at the London Fashion Week at the Hard Rock Hotel. The collection is titled, Kintsugi, which signifies the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold. It delivers the meaning of the said age-old practice as accepting and rejoicing in one’s supposed ‘flaws and imperfections.’ The designer while talking about his collection said, “It was really challenging and uncertain that a physical show could take place this season.” Omar further added, “Also, the buying behaviour of the customer base has evolved during the pandemic. It has affected how designers have to produce their collections. No annual balls and galas taking place this year so the whole concept of multifunctional clothing was to be followed.” The capsule collection featured two-piece multifunctional ensembles of tailored trousers to puffed sleeves and asymmetrical tops in serene shades of ivory and white.
