Sooji Halwa

Ingredients

· ½ cup sooji

· 1¼ cup water

· ½ cup sugar

· ½ cup ghee

· Cardamom powder

· 5-6 cashews

· Saffron strands

Method

Heat the ghee in a pan and add cashews, fry until they turn golden brown. Now add sooji in it and roast for a few seconds. Now is the time to add water into it and mix well. When the sooji mixture starts bubbling, then add the cardamom powder. Mix well and when the sooji changes its colour a bit, add the sugar and mix well. Put off the flame, garnish the halwa with chopped almonds and serve.
