Khajoor Halwa

Ingredients

· ¼ cup semolina

· 50 g butter

· ½ cup dates

· 2 tablespoons raisins

· 50 g cashews

· ½ teaspoon vanilla essence

· 1 cup milk

· 1 cup brown sugar

· ½ teaspoon cardamom powder

Method

Roast the semolina well in a pan for two minutes and remove. Add dates and the hot milk in a blender, and thoroughly blend. Add the semolina in a frying pan, and add butter, cashews, cardamom powder, raisins, brown sugar and vanilla essence and cook for about a minute, stirring continuously. Spread the mixture on a greased tray. When it cooled down, cut into pieces and serve.
