Not all celebrities are gallivanting around town and spending all of their money on fancy cars and jewelry. Many recognise that with great social power comes great responsibility, and act accordingly to influence the world in positive ways. Recently, model and actress Amna Ilyas took to her social media to convey the message of negative use of power. She uploaded a video that featured a traffic policeman asking her character in the video to show her driver’s license for breaking the signal. For this, she tries using her name and influence to get away with her offence but is failed in doing so as the officer asks for the license angrily and doesn’t care if she’s a biggie. Calling out the “bharam culture” Amna says, “I don’t know about the other cities out there, but I’d venture to say they hold a lot more respect for their traffic police than we do. This absurd culture of exercising “power” to get away from taking responsibility is out of fashion so it ain’t cool no more!”
