Zainab Abbas is thrilled to join Britain’s sports channel, Sky Sports

Pakistani female sports commentator, Zainab Abbas, is all set to make her debut with reputed sports channel Sky Sports. She is the first female Pakistani commentator to achieve a remarkable feat. Her stint with the British sports channel will begin in summer. She announced on her Twitter account, “Thrilled to share that I will be making my debut for @SkyCricket @SkySports this summer while working on the England vs. Pakistan series followed by presenting at the all-new exciting tournament @thehundred – looking forward to working with a great team.” In her interview with a channel, she said that Sky Sports approached her for one of their leagues called ‘The Hundred’ in which they wanted to feature global faces. “I was honoured to receive this opportunity. Apart from achieving a personal milestone, I see this as a chance to make my country proud on international grounds,” Abbas remarked. The star-studded line-up also includes Pakistani legend Wasim Akram, Sri Lankan superstar Kumar Sangakkara and West-Indian twice-winning T20 World Cup, Darren Sammy.
