Carne Asada

Ingredients

· 1 pound skirt steak

· 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the Marinade

· 5 tablespoons soy sauce

· 5 tablespoons olive oil

· 3 tablespoons vinegar

· 1 teaspoon chilli powder

· 1 teaspoon cumin

· 1 teaspoon paprika

· 1 teaspoon onion powder

· 1 teaspoon white pepper

· 1 teaspoon black pepper

· 1 teaspoon Mexican oregano

· 1 lime juice

· 2 garlic cloves

Method

Place all the marinade ingredients into a mixing bowl and whisk together. Place meat into a baking dish pour marinade mixture over meat. Cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate and allow meat to marinate for at least three hours. Heat a grill pan to high heat. Brush with vegetable oil. Grill meat for five minutes on each side, lightly seasoning with salt and pepper. Transfer meat onto a cutting board and allow it to rest for five minutes. Chop into bite sized pieces and serve.
