Banana Honey French Toast

Ingredients

· 3 tablespoons honey

· ½ teaspoon cinnamon

· ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

· 2 bananas

· 1 egg

· 300 ml milk

· 4 slices of white bread

· 2 tablespoons butter

· 50 ml whipped cream

Method

Simmer the honey, cinnamon and ground cardamom in a pan and swirl until they turn golden in colour. Add the bananas and toss. Beat the egg with the milk in a dish, add the bread and soak for a minute, turning once. Fry in the butter over a medium heat for five minutes, flip and cook for five minutes more, until golden on both sides. Top with the bananas and the whipped cream, if you like.
