In Pakistan, cricket and dramas are arguably the only two phenomena that can gather flocks of admirers across the country. And, of late, fans are increasingly witnessing the two worlds collide as more and more cricketers begin their second innings with the small screen. Cricketers have long made cameos in movies and dramas, usually appearing as themselves, but one cricketer that is actually ready to play a full role is Shoaib Malik. A few months ago, cricketer Fawad Alam made his acting debut with web series Khudkash Muhabbat and now Malik is all set to jump on the bandwagon with an upcoming drama serial. In a recent episode of Time Out with Ahsan Khan, the cricketer, while expressing his love for acting revealed that he has been shooting a few scenes for an upcoming drama he’ll be appearing in.
