Amar Khan and Muneeb Butt to pair up for a drama

From the TV

Amar Khan and Muneeb Butt are soon to appear in an upcoming drama series, titled Baddua, under the direction of Jhooti famed Ramish Rizvi. The two have previously starred together in Choti Choti Batain. The drama is being produced by Abdullah Seja. Samina Ijaz is the writer of Baddua, who has Yaariyan and Kaisa Hai Naseeban under her belt. Speaking about her character to a publication, Khan said, "She's somebody who's opinionated. She finds herself shackled, but how she breaks free from that is admirable," she explained. "It is a very powerful role. It is an interesting story that has a lot of twist and turns, which is very eventful. Muneeb's character is also unlike what she [Samina Ijaz] has written before. It is going to be a very interesting story between the two lead characters, both of which have equally strong personalities and their own set of principles and interests." The Ghughi alum revealed that she was in search of something that was different from what she's done before and had been rejecting scripts since a few months. The cast of Baddua include veterans like Samina Ahmed, Mehmood Aslam and Rubina Ashraf. The show would go on air in the next two to three months.
